Magic Prepper was a concept that came to me when I was trying to figure out a way to share some of the information about prepping and survival I have learned throughout the years while entwining different forms of hobbies and entertainment that share a similar theme. I would say that survival and preparedness was drilled in to me as a Boy Scout of America throughout my youth which I still blame to this day for my compulsiveness to remain prepared for anything. I have traveled, hiked and camped all over the USA and will continue to do so to the best of my abilities. I am also an avid firearms enthusiast and have been since 2011 when I was horrendously introduced to the concept of firearms leveling the playing field. After I survived a terrible situation, I began my journey in to firearms ownership and have been a proud proponent of 2nd amendment rights ever since.
I am also an artist, musician and collector of assorted odds and ends. I grew up with an affinity toward strategy board games, collectible card games, video gaming and PC gaming. How do I have time for any of these things while also spending a lot of time outdoors? I am pretty sure I need to sleep one day. But, either way these different hobbies have shaped me in to who I am today giving me a level of open mindedness I hope to demonstrate through my video content. We all need time to unwind and let go of stress so when the weather denies my preferred visit to the shooting range, you can find me playing bass guitar, PS4 or Magic: The Gathering.
So why the name Magic Prepper? Well, to be honest, I have been prepping in one form or another since I was introduced to cub scouts back in 1993. That same year, I started playing a new game that only the strangest of people were aware of, Magic: The Gathering. I have continually participated in both of those activities since then which helped me develop the concept of this project. Yes, I am a nerd of sorts and I am also a relatively capable outdoorsman. I am not here trying to pretend I am something I'm not. And I felt the name helped garner some of that sentiment. The definition of Magic is the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces which sometimes, I feel is what it seems we are doing when out in the bush testing out our survival skills.
It is my mission to eventually build a prepper community out here in western North Dakota where my family and I recently put down some roots. This environment compared to the states I have lived in before has much to offer in the realm of prepping. Yes the winter is harsh but, just like any other weather event, you just have to prepare for it! If SHTF or TEOTWAWKI decide to suddenly occur, hopefully the communities we build as preppers can be the ones who rebuild civilization in the aftermath. If you have any interest in starting a community whether it's online or in person, please send me a message via my contact form below! Thank you for taking the time to check out MagicPrepper.com and I look forward to hearing from you in the future!
I set out on a mission to create quality content using YouTube's platform in order to help spread awareness about preparedness, build a prepper community both locally and online all while using feedback to help grow myself as well. I am humbled by the amount of support and knowledge offered in the prepping community and look forward to continual growth through my endeavors. I am a regular person, not a veteran, not a special operator and definitely not a field operations expert of any sort. However, regular people are preppers too and hopefully I can connect with those people on a different level. Thank you so much for your support!
